Antonio Diaz "Before I met Kelley, I had been involved with martial arts for over 30 years. I have studied different styles of Kung Fu, most of my years in Wing Chung.
Studying with Kelley has helped me understand more about true martial arts. I have studied with him for more than three years. He takes his training seriously and constantly maintains an atmosphere of discipline. Kelley's knowledge of martial arts has helped me to grow...I enjoy training with him and always look forward to his classes."
Rob Ploger "I have studied internal martial arts for most of my adult life and was very happy to discover Kelley Graham's class last year. There are two qualities I like to see in a teacher, a deep knowledge of the art and a generous heart and Kelley has both. I highly recommend his class to anyone who is truly interested in health and cultivating deep internal martial arts skill."
Bob Chasan "I have been practicing Tai Chi steadily for the last 16 years. In just a short time training with Kelley, my ability to experience Chi energy has greatly improved. The direct transmission has really been beneficial to my overall practice. The change has been dramatic. It has also had a positive impact on my life outside Tai Chi."
Ricou Distasio "I had been seeking genuine Tai Chi Chuan training for over ten years. To back up a step (and ten years), my first teacher, Michael Phillips (Tucson) taught genuine Tai Chi; that is, Tai Chi that develops your chi, your fascia, and basically develops a Tai Chi body that is necessary and most beneficial for both health and martial uses. As fate would have it, my work had me living away from Tucson for about ten years, during which time I found out how hard it is to find authentic Tai Chi training, though I looked.
Many instructors teach the rough choreography of Tai Chi forms with no apparent understanding of the energetic qualities that are supposed to infuse the form. That was both the benefit and the curse of having a great teacher initially; I was able to distinguish between the legitimate, and the less than complete. At least I saved myself a bunch of money.
After returning to Tucson, I found Kelley's training (he too was a long time student of Michael Phillips, as well as of Master Sam Chin). So, after 10 years in the Tai Chi wilderness, I finally found a real training curriculum to engage in. Kelley is highly skilled and knows exactly how to teach his students to make the proper connections to engage the inherent power that lies within us all.
It's a challenging body of work, but for those who put in the time, the rewards can be huge. In the end, it's more about the journey than the destination, and most times it's a pretty enjoyable endeavor (but in truth, you can expect some level of frustration at times... after all, if it was easy, everybody would be doing it). It requires a certain level of dedication to truly advance in the material.
For anyone seeking traditional, authentic Internal Kung Fu instruction, whether for health or martial reasons, you'll find it with Kelley."
