Self Defense: Mixed Martial Studio Self Defense training Tucson, Arizona

Mixed Martial Studio is a black belt program. Students are taught blocks, strikes, stances, boxing, wrestling, history and more in the study of Kajukenbo. Kajukenbo is the original Mixed Martial Art (MMA). Developed in Honolulu during the late 1940s, Kajukenbo is a self defense system made of techniques from Karate, Judo, Jujitsu, Kenpo and Chinese Boxing (Kung-Fu).

The Philosophy of Kajukenbo is to “Adapt to the existing environment, bring in what is useful and throw away the rest, but always keep the roots.”

Kajukenbo is a very effective martial arts system developed to teach its students how to defend themselves in a modern setting.
